Why Playing Cornhole Is the Best Game for Any Party

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]People are designed by nature, to be social creatures. We thrive amongst company and are always surrounded by a plethora of friends and acquaintances. In fact, humans are such socially inclined creatures, we have invented entire games and activities focused on purposely bringing people together. Some of these social games, such as bowling or croquet, highlight both social needs and needs for competition, while others like cornhole exist simply to bring people together to have a good time.

We couldn’t agree more. Cornhole is an awesome game for hundreds of reasons, not least among them simply having fun with people you you enjoy being around (or getting competitive with). We’ve laid out the top reasons why cornhole is the best game for any party (and we mean any).

It’s Fun for Everyone

The elusive bean bag toss is a simple sport, enjoyed by children and adults alike, with roots traced all the way back to 15th century Germany. It is a test of skill, strength and aim. Everyone has played cornhole at one point or another. Many have described cornhole as Schrodinger’s Game because it is relatively simple but excruciatingly hard at the same time. Karma also seems to have a say in how the game functions as there are five-year-old’s who are able to score every toss and 25-year-old’s who somehow miss every one.

But it doesn’t matter if you’re awesome at cornhole or terrible at it. The ultimate point is to have fun throwing a few bags around, ideally with a beer in one hand (though we don’t recommend giving one to the youngsters).

You Can Put Your Own Spin on It

Contrary to popular belief, cornhole can be made into a challenge beyond the typical toss-and-release technique…if you’re willing to get creative. Because cornhole itself is such a simple game, many people have added their own ideas and flair to up the ante. Many people will utilize fitness challenges in their winner-loser games. Physical punishments may include push ups, sit ups or burpees and those are only just a few ways a group of friends may torture the loser. Other people may include monetary bets on the outcome of the game, while others (primarily in children-orientated situations) may use candy or other treats. Handstands are popular, as is throwing from under the leg. Many like to test their luck by throwing the bean bag while standing with their back to the game. When playing cornhole, anything goes and that’s the beauty of it. It doesn’t matter who is gathered there to play, you can bring your own unique personalities into the mix and turn it into a game for the ages.

It Brings Communities Together

Cornhole is also a great and popular game to play at the neighborhood block party. Anytime someone busts the boards out, it’s impossible not to line up and eagerly await your turn to play. Even if you’re just watching (or heckling the opposing team), playing cornhole is endless fun for entire communities.

People of all backgrounds can enjoy playing cornhole. It is a game anyone can like, even your hard to please mother-in-law. Owning a cornhole set is a guaranteed win, not only for you, but for everyone you know.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]
